Polycarpos Philippou

Founding Partner

Polycarpos, or Polis, is the senior partner and founder of the firm. He started the firm back in 1980 persisting to work in an honest and independent manner and never compromised his values. A vigorous fighter in court, Polis soon gained a reputation for handling the most difficult of matters.

Polis has significant experience in real estate and construction disputes, administrative disputes, immigration litigation and high-profile criminal cases.

Eleni Philippou

Partner

Eleni is the partner in charge of the Property, Immigration and Wills departments. She handles or supervises about 80-100 property transactions yearly, several immigration matters and probate procedures. Eleni is a certified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Eleni has qualified in 2000 after graduating from the University of Nottingham (Law Degree) and the University of Sheffield (Masters in Law). As Cyprus is a small island with short distances between cities, Eleni handles transactions in other cities of Cyprus as well. She also has a consulting role in related litigation.

Eleni is an excellent communicator bringing peace of mind to her predominantly foreign clientele. She has dealt with many English, Chinese and Russian clients and for our clients from non-EU countries Eleni also handles their immigration issues and acts in obtaining Permanent Residency permits, passports or necessary licences from the Ministry of Interior for the purchase property.

Eleni speaks English, Spanish and basic Chinese.

Gregoris Philippou

Partner

Gregoris has graduated with a first-class law degree from the University of Leicester where he was awarded the George Heim Memorial Trust Prize for the best graduate intending to practice as a Barrister. He then completed his Masters in Commercial Law (Advanced Trusts, Restitution, Corporate Governance and International Commercial Litigation) at the University of Cambridge with a scholarship from the Cyprus Ministry of Education. Gregoris finished his studies in the UK after completing the Legal Practice Course (‘LPC’) at BPP in Holborn. He qualified as a lawyer in Cyprus in 2013.

Gregoris deals with commercial and business issues, including commercial litigation, tax, trusts and corporate work. Gregoris frequently handles complicated issues and is often asked by other lawyers to handle their own difficult or personal matters.

Gregoris is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an Accredited ADRg Mediator and Mediation Advocate. He is also member of the Board of Directors of the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as the Properties Committee of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce. He is also a lecturer of Equity and Trusts at the Neapolis University in Paphos.

Nicoletta obtained an LLB (Honours) and an LLM (Master of Laws) degree in Commercial Law from the University of Sheffield. She then continued to receive a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in International Commercial Arbitration from Queen Mary University (London).

She has been a member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 2012 and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) since 2016.

Nicoletta is a litigation lawyer and she mainly focuses on civil, administrative and property law. She speaks English and Greek. She also has a working knowledge of French and basic knowledge of Russian.
