Frequently Asked Questions

Under the expedited Regulation 6(2) policy, an eligible third-country national must invest at least EUR 300,000 in one of four permitted categories and satisfy the income, source-of-funds, insurance, criminal-record, and other policy conditions. The categories include qualifying first-sale housing, other qualifying real estate, qualifying Cyprus-company share capital, and qualifying collective-investment units. Category F is a separate income-based route.
Do not assume that a permanent residence permit authorises employment. Regulation 6(2), Category F, and employment-based permits have different conditions. Any director, shareholder, salaried, or self-employed activity must be checked against the exact permit and current Migration Department rules before work begins.
The general M127 naturalisation route requires 12 continuous months of lawful residence immediately before application plus at least seven cumulative years during the preceding ten-year period, together with the statutory language, character, integration, accommodation, and financial-resource conditions. Marriage or civil partnership uses the separate M125 route with its own conditions. Processing time is case-specific and is not guaranteed.

We contacted Philippou Law to assist with our visa process having just relocated to Cyprus from overseas. Our situation was quite complicated and the immigration process was extremely confusing, but from our initial consultation with Nikolas his professionalism and advice was very reassuring. Nikolas and Laura were excellent and managed every part of the visa process from start to finish with care and attention.

Yellow Slip application

Angeliki was absolutely incredible throughout our entire process in Cyprus. From the very first consultation, she took the time to actually listen, explain every step clearly, and make what felt like an overwhelming situation feel manageable. If you need a visa lawyer who knows what they are doing and will fight for you, Angeliki is the one to call.
